Master Browser
I have two Windows 2000 servers thatare stand alone
servers. However I'm getting the following error message
on both servers.

The master browser has received a server announcement
from the computer N029VOC1 that believes that it is the
master browser for the domain on transport NetBT_Tcpip_
{729C7F63-3A8D-443E-. The master browser is stopping or
an election is being forced.

Any suggestions

What is N029VOC1? Is that one of your servers, or is it a workstation?

Re: Master Browser
N029voc1 is a server use for SQL Server. We get the same
messageon N029voc1 stating that it received a
announcement from the computer N029VOC2. They are stand
alone file servers with no Active Directory services
loaded.

Thanks.

See if

helps...
... although you can also turn off the browser service.
