how to round the corners of a square shape
I am working with an existing Org. Chart and the "people"
are shown currently as a square shape. Some of the
associates need to be changed to an oval shape. When I
select FORMAT > LINE > and choose the appropriate rounded
corner, I select APPLY > OK ..... it never changes to
the oval it stays as a square.

Any suggestions?

Under Visio 2003, if you drop a shape from the orgchart template, select it
and choose FORMAT > LINE > and choose the appropriate rounded corner, the
shapes do change.

Was the shape selected before you chose the FORMAT menu?

RE: how to round the corners of a square shape
Hi,

In answer to your question, I would suggest the following
1. Select the shape which you would like to modify
2. From Format Menu > Corner Rounding

This can also be achieved with:
1. Right Click on the shape which you would like to modify
2. Format > Line > Round Corner - select the round corner which you would like to apply
3. Click on Apply
4. Click on Ok

Thanks and regards,

Re: how to round the corners of a square shape
I am having the exact same problem that was described below and though I followed the two responders' directions and feel I have exhausted all possibilities, the corners still do not round. I am using Visio 2002 and I am working off of the Organizational Charts template.

I would greatly appreciate any additional suggestions anyone may be able to provide.
