Blank Emails in Outlook Express
I have gone through all of the reccomendations by Frank
Saunders (Default Font, Temp files, turn of Virus
scanning, ran Ad-Aware, Spybot, CWShredder and submitted
the log created by HijackThis to forum.aumha.org-(no
answer on the log yet)) Outlook Express still will not
display any of the bodies of messages or attachments. If
you place your cursor over the preview pane, it turns
into an hourglass. That is all it does. Any other
suggestions?

Try this and post back if it helps or not. Go to the Start/Run line and
type: regsvr32 inetcomm.dll

Let us know if that fixes the problem. Thanks.

Re: Blank Emails in Outlook Express
While I was waiting for a reply, I tried something else
that was posted from someone else. That was to reinstall
Outlook Express by editing the registry so the system
didn't know it was aready installed and then download
Internet Explorer 6 SP1 from the Microsoft Download page.
It worked! All the messages are back. Since I only
changed the flag on the Outlook Express portion of the
registry, the download only took a couple minutes to
reload that portion.
Now that it is working I can't try your suggestion.
Reloading it also doesn't answer the other question of
what caused it in the first place....

Thanks for the feedback!
That is the kind of feedback that really helps us figure this out.

Re: Blank Emails in Outlook Express
That's why I was wondering if re-registering inetcomm.dll might not also fix
it. Thought it was worth a shot. Maybe one other poster will have tried
it. Waiting for a response from him.
