any way to stop the SERVER from forcing automatic machine account password changes
does anyone know any way to stop a 2000 AD server setup from forcing an automatic machine account password change? We have secured our workstations with a product called Centurion Guard (a piece of hardware) to prevent changes to the configuration, and w
hen the server tries to change the machine account password, Centurion won't let that happen. We are losing trust with the domain every time this happens. HELP! We have tried the regestry edit to disable it on the workstation level, but still keep losin
g trust. Is there any way to do it server side???

Re: any way to stop the SERVER from forcing automatic machine account password changes
There is an article on "how to disable automatic machine account password changes" but it doesn't work with centurian guard. We need to stop the server from trying to force this. There has to be some way to disable the automatic machine account password
changes SERVER-SIDE, rather than on the individual machines. The server thinks the change has been done correctly, but the machines don't save the new password, thus losing the trust. We've searched the Knowledge base... to no avail...

Why don't you talk to the guys at Centurian Guard, there software is
obviously having the problem and they MUST have run into this on every
single domain that someone uses their software on?????
