Outlook 2003 printing outside margins
Hello,

I have the following problem with one of my users, pc is running on W2K
with SP4, Office 2003 + SP1. When the user receives an e-mail and prints
it, it prints outside the print margin both on the left and on the right
side. The user is a power user on the computer. The strange thing is that
when she forwards the e-mail to herself, then she can print it off without
any problems.

Does anybody have any idea on how to solve this problem? I tried just about
everything, but until now I have been unable to come up with a permanent
solution.

thanks & regards
Lionell

RE: Outlook 2003 printing outside margins
same exact problem here, happened out of the middle of no where. Seems to be
only HTML formatted emails. User is admin of computer.

W2k SP4
Office 2003

then upgraded Office SP1 and still see problem. I have reset defaults,
detect and repair, tried other printers, but it always comes back to outlook.
I havent tried forwarding the email to themselves. Have you tried
reinstalling office?

RE: Outlook 2003 printing outside margins
It's only html message or messages that were sent from a lotus notes
client... W2K SP4 is installed, I reinstalled Office 2003 and reset all
defaults, installed Office 2003 SP1 and the problem keeps persisting. If
they forward the e-mail to someone else, then it can be printed, haven't
tried it either to forward it to themselves... Even Microsoft can't give me
a straight answer...

Just had a call from user, if the message is forwarded to themselves, it
prints... but that's not a solution.

Re: Outlook 2003 printing outside margins
Greetings. I don't know if any of you have found a fix for this yet,
but I found something that has worked. When I printed e-mails in
Outlook 2003, which I have set to do all e-mails as HTML, it would cut
the left edge. I also have the same problem printing off website pages
in Internet Explorer. I found that someone else had this same type of
problem and they found that Internet Explorer is the culprit. I am
talking about Outlook 2003, not Outlook Express which has a lot of ties
to Internet Explorer. My Page Setup for Memo Style was set to .5 for
top, bottom, left, and right margins. However, in Internet Explorer,
the left margin was set to .25, and that was the margin getting cut. I
reset my Internet Explorer's Page Setup to have all margins at .5 as
well, and both IE and Outlook are printing off just fine. I hope this
helps you all out. Have a wonderful day!

Thank you for that answer. It would have been a long time (or maybe never)
before I would have thought to check Explorer for Outlook printing margin
problems but your solution worked and was easy!! Thanks again.
