can't set hybernate option
yesterday i set up my new box to hypernate with no problems along with some
other set up changes. this morning my system was locked up. i used restore
to restore to old settings but now i can't "enable hybernation" under Power
Options. When i try i ger pop up box " Power Mangager unabler to reserve
hibernation file" containing message " the process cannot access the file
because is is beinf used by another process."

any suggestions? I really like the hybernation feature and i hate to give
it up without a fight.

Hey Petr,
do you have Daemon Tools installed on the machine?

Hi,
Same problem here, when I set hibernate option, I get that annoying message: Power Manager unable to reserve hibernation file, the process cannot access the file
because it is being used by another process.
On my other HDD this option works and D-Tools installed on both. And there is no hiberfil.sys to delete. Any help is welcome.

It seems I have to fix myself. All right. I uninstalled Alcohol, and could hibernate again. It may sound strange, but when I re-installed it the problem didn't come back.

hey, not sure if the tread got lost but, good on you!!! that is the solutiom..
that was why I asked if there was the Daemon tools installed.
You just have to uninstall, reboot, set the hybernation, the install the
tool again.

don't asked me why but it is those Microsoft things.
