Hi,
Did you create a routing group for the new server and also a routing group
connector to connect the new routing group with the existing.
I find this better than creating a SMTP connector. With the routing group
connector there is no need for the MX record.

on both Exchange servers are able to both send and receive e-mails. Now I
have installed a new Exchange2k3(standard) on a win2000 with servicepack3,
in our Active Directory. The new server is located in another part of town,
I created a new user on the new Exchange server and I can send and received
e-mails when I sent too ec. Hotmail, but when I sent e-mail to a user on the
enterprise server the e-mail does not appear at the user I sent the e-mail
to. When I try to send an e-mail from the enterprise server to the new
server it is the same problem no e-mail appears in the inbox. I can see the
the e-mail is stock in the smtp connector. I have created at mx record to
the new Exchange server.
