I am loggin in as "Admin" user, and notice that under the
user permission, the "Admin" user does not have "Database"
Administer previlege.
Tried to apply the "Administer" previlege to "Admin" user
for "Database" object, received error saying that I must
have Administer previlege to do this. Doesn't "Admin"
user can pretty much do everything.
Also, a lot of my objects' owner are now at "unknow"
owner, and I would like to change the onwer to "Admin",
but it also say that I don't have previlege.

Any help would be appreciated so that I get around this.
Thanks.

Administer permissions belong to users in the Admins Group. You need to log
on as a member of the Admins Group to do the things you want. The "unknown"
user situation exists because the user that created the object is no longer
a user in the mdw file you are using.

Thanks, but the "Admin" and another "userA" already part
of the Admins group, and still it says that must have
Administer previlege to do this.

I'm totally stuck.

Any tip would be appreciated, thanks.

If "a lot of your objects' owners are now at "unknown"", this probably
means you are using the wrong workgroup information file (WGF) for that
database. You probably won't get far until you start using the correct
workgroup file.
