I just got this computer this Xmas. It runs windows xp. I'm just woundering
if it allready has the SP2 in it. How could I check to see if I have it

Select Start > My Computer > Help > About Windows. You are after the second
line. (will tell you version and service pack level.)

Hi,

Click on Start -> Run -> here type in

winver

and click OK. Look for information about Service Pack 2. Here is an example

You could also go into the control panel and look for the security center. If
its there then you have sp2. If not then you dont have it. If you got the pc
this xmas then it should have sp2 since all the OEM distributions are sp2 now.
