something
I want to install MOM Reporting on a computer that is separate from the MOMdatabase server. My current MOM configuration is MOM database and DCAM on one
computer system(windows 2000 advanced server) and MOM is 2000 SP1. When I
use custom install MOM Reporting on a computer which is windows 2000
professional, I always get error
" Setup was unable to locate the Microsoft Operations Manager databse on
the specificed computer: xxxx MOM database server name".
Name resolution is not a problem. I also set up the fllowing configuration
according to some article:
1 Give the service account local permissions for:
Login as a batch
Login as a service account
Create a token object
Act as part of the OS
2 run “Dcomcnfg” and change the default authentication level from “NONE” to
“Connect”
Another thing is that I can use SQL 2000 Enterprise to connect to mom
database and I can also manully establish ODBC connection to mom
database(succeed). I think MOM Reporting is using ODBC connection.
Despite all those configuration, I just can not install MOM Reporting.
Any help?
Thanks a lot
