something
Another newbie problem, perhaps someone here can save me the price ofa Premier Support call to MS :)
MOM 2000 SP1, running on dedicated W2000 SP4 server. Test
environment.
I have created an alert based on an event, following the instructions
in the Installation Guide, as follows :
Test Computer Group created, consisting of one server, the MOM server.
Test Processing Rule Group created, test Notification Group created.
New Event Processing Rule created :
Alert on or Respond to Event (Event)
Provider Name = Security
with event ID = 529 (failed logon)
Always process data
Generate Alert
Now, when I attempt to log on to the MOM server using an invalid
password, then log on using the correct password, I can see the event
529 in the Event Viewer Security Log, but it's just not showing up on
the MOM console. I've gone through everything, but I can't see where
I'm going wrong. Auditing is configured correctly. Would anyone have
any suggestions (other than phone Bill G on Premier Support rates and
make him a few more bucks:))?
Thanks for any assistance
